Overview
- ZDF confirmed a one-off Wetten, dass..? episode will be broadcast from Halle (Saale) on 5 December 2026 with Bill and Tom Kaulitz as guest hosts.
- Audience access has already been opened: ticket applications were made available online starting 19 October 2026 and drew heavy demand.
- On Saturday, October 24 Markus Lanz publicly endorsed the Kaulitz brothers for their unorthodox, 'anarchic' approach and said that style fits the show's spirit.
- In the same interview Lanz criticized long‑time host Thomas Gottschalk for a pattern of casual physical contact with female guests that he called 'a bit overstepping,' and he said such behaviour is now rightly questioned.
- The show returns into a changed cultural landscape where past host‑guest norms face scrutiny and the ratings and public reaction to the Kaulitz hosting will likely determine whether ZDF pursues further revivals.
