Wet’n Wild Lifeguard Drowns After Drain Entrapment, Police Report Says

The park remains closed pending an autopsy, with the company stating it is assisting the family.

  • According to a police report, he dove to retrieve a tourist’s ring at the Walter Bomb attraction, became trapped at the bottom, and was reportedly sucked by a drain.
  • Colleagues pulled him from the pool and performed first aid before emergency teams took him to Hospital Municipal Nossa Senhora Aparecida, where he died shortly after.
  • Wet’n Wild says operations remain suspended, it is supporting the family, and it is cooperating with authorities; the park told police he had worked there for just over two years and was promoted in October 2025.
  • His body was sent to the Jundiaí medical examiner’s office for autopsy, the case was registered as a suspected death for investigation, and there is no date set for the wake.
