Overview
- JD Wetherspoon has scheduled six new pub openings across September 2026, running from 1 September to 29 September and announced in late August.
- The Marshfield Bank Farm House in Crewe is set to open on 1 September after an estimated £1.5 million refurbishment and is expected to create about 70 jobs.
- The Red Gown will open in the refurbished University of St Andrews Students’ Association on 4 September and will be run by the students’ union under the Wetherspoon business model.
- The Belle Vue will be Wetherspoon’s first airport site, located in Manchester Airport Terminal 2 with about 338 square metres of space and room for more than 300 travellers, and two other openings are planned for 8 and 16 September.
- Several sites take over former Beefeater restaurants and sit close to the planned Universal Studios development, reflecting a push to convert vacant hospitality sites and capture tourist and local footfall; these are scheduled openings rather than completed launches.
