Overview

• Police responding to a reported disturbance just before 2 p.m. Sunday found a woman dead with visible signs of trauma in the 3300 block of 92nd Place.
• Investigators identified 37-year-old Sarah Riste as the suspect and took her into custody on suspicion of first-degree murder.
• Riste was booked into the Adams County Detention Facility late Sunday and is being held without bail, according to jail records.
• A child found in the home was unharmed and was turned over to Child Protective Services.
• The Adams County Coroner’s Office will release the victim’s identity later, and the 17th Judicial District Attorney’s Office will make the final charging determination as the investigation continues.
