• The Metropolitan Police said officers were called at 10:12am and were speaking to a man on the bridge.
• The London Ambulance Service said it was called at 10:10am, treated a man at the scene, and took him to hospital.
• The London Fire Brigade deployed three fire engines, two fire rescue units, and a fire boat to assist.
• Traffic was halted in both directions as buses 3, 11, 12, 148, 159, 453 and C10 were diverted and drivers were urged to avoid the area.
• A separate points failure at Aldgate East caused severe delays on the District, Circle and Hammersmith & City lines, with lines reopened but significant residual disruption continuing.
