Overview

• London Fire Brigade said several vehicles caught fire on an upper level of car park C at Westfield Stratford City.
• The brigade received the first call at 4:05pm and brought the blaze under control by 5:54pm.
• Around 70 firefighters and a turntable ladder were deployed as thick black smoke prompted advice to avoid the area.
• The shopping centre was evacuated as a precaution while crews worked, with damping down operations continuing.
• London Ambulance Service treated two people at the scene, who were discharged without hospital transport.
