Western Sydney University Secures UGC Approval for Greater Noida Campus Launch

The new branch will offer Australian-accredited business, innovation and entrepreneurship degrees through a blend of Australian and India-based faculty while hosting WSU’s Launch Pad incubator on site

  • The University Grants Commission formally approved WSU’s first full-fledged foreign campus at the Akhil Bharatiya Shiksha Samagam in New Delhi on July 31, 2025, with ministerial endorsement by Dharmendra Pradhan.
  • The Greater Noida campus is set to open in August 2026 with undergraduate and postgraduate programs in Business, Innovation and Entrepreneurship, and plans to expand into Data Science, core sciences and agricultural studies.
  • WSU will implement a blended academic model combining Australian faculty, India-based academics and visiting industry experts, ensuring global accreditation and regional relevance.
  • Launch Pad, WSU’s award-winning business incubator, will be housed on campus to provide startup mentorship, entrepreneurial training and research commercialization.
  • As part of WSU’s One University model, students will access cross-border mobility, internships and work-integrated learning while building on two decades of partnerships with Indian institutions and a top global sustainability ranking.
