Westbound I-80 Through Yolo County Closes 9 p.m. Friday–4 a.m. Monday for 55-Hour Pavement Work

Caltrans is halting traffic to replace aging concrete as part of a $280 million I-80 and Highway 50 rehabilitation.

Overview

  • The shutdown stretches from Interstate 5 in Sacramento to the eastbound Highway 50/westbound I-80 interchange in Yolo County.
  • All related ramps are closed, including the northbound I-5 to westbound I-80 connector and the El Centro Road, West El Camino Avenue, Reed Avenue, and Enterprise Boulevard on- and off-ramps.
  • Through traffic should detour from westbound I-80 to southbound I-5, then connect to westbound Highway 50.
  • For Enterprise Boulevard and West Capitol Avenue, drivers should use the westbound Harbor Boulevard off-ramp, turning right to West Capitol or left to Industrial Boulevard.
  • Caltrans urges drivers to leave early and plan for delays during the scheduled 55-hour closure.
