  • Health surveillance teams found West Nile virus in mosquito samples near Pennypack Park in Northeast Philadelphia and in the Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens and Staten Island this week.
  • Despite positive mosquito tests across the city, New York City has not recorded any human West Nile infections in 2025.
