Spanish outlet El Periodico Mediterraneo, relayed by UK reporting, says West Ham have contacted Tottenham about a January move.
The winger is on loan at Villarreal but has had limited game time and, according to Israeli reports, has asked Spurs to end the loan in January.
Tottenham are reported to view Solomon as surplus to requirements and are open to moving him on.
Solomon has featured sparingly this season with four La Liga appearances and one goal for Villarreal.
