West Chester Protester Charged With Weapons of Mass Destruction After Police Find Bombs

Investigators uncovered a cache of 13 improvised explosive devices at his Malvern home, prompting additional weapons charges.

Overview

  • Krebs was released on a $250,000 bond but had his bail revoked on June 17 after FBI, ATF and local bomb squads executed a search warrant at his Conestoga Road residence.
  • Authorities detailed that the improvised devices were built from metal pipes, glass bottles, kitchen timers, 9-volt batteries and filled with nails and screws.
  • During the search, officers also seized an AR-15-style rifle, military-style body armor vests, night-vision goggles, sketches of additional devices and ammunition.
  • Krebs is held without bail at Chester County Prison facing charges that include 13 counts of weapons of mass destruction and remains under investigation.
