Overview

  • The Higher Education Department will formally inaugurate the portal at 2 pm on June 17 with Education Minister Bratya Basu presiding over the launch.
  • Students can submit online applications from 2 pm on June 18 until July 1 through the portal at no cost.
  • The platform covers 460 government and aided colleges affiliated with 17 universities and allows candidates to apply to up to 25 courses in a single window.
  • Admissions will begin with merit lists and seat allotment on July 6, followed by an upgrade round from July 17 to 20 and a mop-up phase starting August 2, with classes set to begin on August 1.
  • Designed to enhance transparency and prevent multiple admissions by the same student, the portal excludes private, autonomous, minority and professional institutions such as Jadavpur and Presidency universities.
