Wes Welker Joins Washington Commanders as Personnel Analyst

The former Patriots star and experienced coach adds his expertise to Dan Quinn’s staff as the Commanders revamp their roster and coaching strategy.

Wes Welker, a former Pro Bowl wide receiver for the New England Patriots, has been named personnel analyst for the Washington Commanders.
Welker brings extensive coaching experience from roles with the Miami Dolphins, San Francisco 49ers, and Houston Texans.
This marks Welker’s fourth coaching stop after transitioning from a decorated playing career to the sidelines following his retirement in 2015.
The Commanders have also bolstered their roster with the acquisition of standout wide receiver Deebo Samuel via a trade with the San Francisco 49ers.
Under head coach Dan Quinn, these moves signal a strategic push to strengthen both the coaching staff and player lineup for the upcoming NFL season.
