Overview
- The Design Museum show runs from 21 November 2025 to 26 July 2026 in London.
- Developed with La Cinémathèque française, the exhibition is curated by Johanna Agerman Ross, Matthieu Orléan and Lucia Savi in close collaboration with Anderson and his archive.
- Hundreds of original pieces span three decades, including Margot Tenenbaum’s Fendi coat, the Grand Budapest Hotel model, the Darjeeling Limited train, bespoke Louis Vuitton suitcases, Asteroid City vending machines and a Fantastic Mr Fox puppet, with a smaller section for The Phoenician Scheme.
- Technical displays unpack stop‑motion methods, showing maquettes, articulated armatures and facial fur animation for Fantastic Mr Fox, plus multi‑scale puppets from Isle of Dogs.
- The curators frame the exhibition as a primer on filmcraft and collaboration, aiming to inform visitors about pathways into roles such as puppet making and set design.
