Overview

  • The voluntary recall applies to 122,250 silver Multi-Max Pro ALMP-20IAA and ALMP-24IAA extension ladders sold exclusively at Home Depot from November 2021 through February 2024.
  • A locking-mechanism defect has led to 18 reported falls, including 14 injuries ranging from bruises and lacerations to head trauma and fractures.
  • Owners must stop using recalled units immediately and initiate the refund process through wernerco.com/recalls or by calling 888-624-1907.
  • Refunds are issued by check after proof of proper disposal is submitted and Werner will cover any associated disposal fees.
  • The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission has logged the action as recall number 25-431 and current 16-foot and 18-foot models feature a redesigned mechanism and are unaffected.
