Wendell Pierce Cast as Perry White in James Gunn's 'Superman'

Wendell Pierce, known for 'The Wire,' has been cast as Perry White, the Daily Planet's editor-in-chief, in the upcoming 'Superman' film directed by James Gunn.
The film, marking the start of a rebooted DC Universe under Gunn and Peter Safran, began principal photography on February 29, coinciding with Superman's birthday.
David Corenswet stars as Clark Kent, with Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane and Nicholas Hoult as the villain Lex Luthor.
The movie, previously titled 'Superman: Legacy,' has been renamed to simply 'Superman' and is scheduled for release on July 11, 2025.
The cast also includes Anthony Carrigan as Metamorpho, Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl, and Nathan Fillion as Guy Gardner, among others.
