WeightWatchers Launches Program for Weight-Loss Drug Users

The new offering aims to support users of popular weight-loss drugs Ozempic and Wegovy, with tailored behavioral support and direct prescription services.

WeightWatchers has launched a new program, WeightWatchers GLP-1, aimed at supporting users of popular weight-loss drugs Ozempic and Wegovy, both brands of semaglutide.
The program, developed by a team of scientists, dietitians, fitness experts and others specializing in obesity, is designed to help members use the new anti-obesity medications, which can lead to rapid changes in weight.
Offerings include daily nutrition and activity targets, including weight training to help subscribers maintain muscle mass as they shed pounds.
WeightWatchers also offers insurance coordination so members can get the best deal for the drugs, and for an additional $99 a month users can get prescriptions for the drugs directly from WeightWatchers.
Oprah Winfrey, a longtime ambassador of the WeightWatchers brand, announced she has been using a weight loss drug, though she did not specify the brand.
