- He led the Razorbacks with a .350 batting average, 21 home runs, 19 doubles, two triples, 81 runs and 68 RBIs, earning SEC Player of the Year honors.
- The award, voted on by over 100 baseball media, professional scouts, USA Baseball staff and past recipients, is widely regarded as college baseball’s Heisman Trophy.
