Overview
- Mellace Family Brands California of Warren, Ohio initiated a voluntary recall after supplier screening detected Salmonella in a lot of raw pistachios used in Wegmans mixed nuts.
- The recall covers Wegmans Deluxe Mixed Nuts Unsalted 34 oz tubs (UPC 077890421314, lot 58041, best by July 28, 2026) and 11.5 oz bags (UPC 077890421352, lot 58171, best by August 10, 2026).
- Affected products were sold November 3 to December 1, 2025, at Wegmans stores in Connecticut, Delaware, Maryland, Massachusetts, North Carolina, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and Washington, D.C.
- No illnesses have been reported to date; the FDA notes Salmonella can cause fever, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, and severe illness in young children, older adults, and immunocompromised people.
- Customers should not consume the products and can return them to Wegmans service desks for full refunds; lot codes appear above the nutrition label on tubs and below it on bags, and questions can go to 1-855-934-3663.
