Wegmans Recalls Deluxe Unsalted Mixed Nuts in 10 States Over Salmonella Risk

The FDA reports no illnesses to date, urging customers to return affected nuts for refunds.

Overview

  • Mellace Family Brands initiated the recall, which the FDA posted on December 5, covering two Wegmans-branded products.
  • The affected items are a 34 oz tub (UPC 077890421314, lot 58041, best by July 28, 2026) and an 11.5 oz bag (UPC 077890421352, lot 58171, best by August 10, 2026).
  • Products were sold from November 3 to December 1 at Wegmans stores in CT, DE, MD, MA, NC, NJ, NY, PA, VA, and Washington, D.C.
  • Routine supplier testing detected Salmonella in a lot of raw pistachios used to produce these mixed-nuts batches.
  • Customers should return eligible packages for full refunds, verify lot codes near the nutrition labels, call 1-855-934-3663 for information, and note the FDA’s ongoing monitoring.
