Overview

  • The FDA alert posted August 12 identifies Wegmans Medium Camembert Soft Ripened Cheese and three prepared cheese items by UPC, with best-by dates ranging from July 26 to August 19.
  • The recall covers products sold July 1–August 12 at Wegmans stores in Connecticut, Delaware, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Virginia and Washington, D.C.
  • No illnesses have been reported to date, but Listeria monocytogenes can cause serious or fatal infections in pregnant people, the elderly and immunocompromised individuals.
