Weezer Performs at Coachella Following Bassist’s Wife’s Arrest in Police Shooting

Jillian Shriner, wife of Scott Shriner, was released on $1 million bond after being shot and arrested for allegedly firing at police in Eagle Rock.

Jillian Shriner, an author and wife of Weezer bassist Scott Shriner, was shot by LAPD officers on April 8 after allegedly firing a handgun at them during a search for hit-and-run suspects in Eagle Rock, Los Angeles.
Shriner was hospitalized with a non-life-threatening shoulder injury, arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, and released on $1 million bond on April 9.
The LAPD stated that video evidence and shell casings supported their claim that Shriner ignored commands to disarm and fired her weapon at officers.
Weezer performed their scheduled Coachella set on April 12 without addressing the incident, delivering a 45-minute performance that included hits and a Metallica cover.
Scott Shriner briefly commented to reporters that his wife was doing 'alright,' but neither he nor the band made public statements during or after their performance.
