Weezer Bassist's Wife Faces Attempted Murder Charges After Police Shooting

Jillian Lauren Shriner, wife of Weezer bassist Scott Shriner, was shot by LAPD on April 8 after allegedly pointing a handgun at officers during a search for hit-and-run suspects in Eagle Rock, Los Angeles.
Shriner, who was not involved in the hit-and-run, sustained a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to her shoulder and was taken into custody after the incident.
Police claim Shriner fired her weapon during the confrontation; a 9-millimeter handgun was recovered from her home, and she was booked for attempted murder.
Released on $1 million bond, Shriner is awaiting further legal proceedings, with her next hearing scheduled for April 30, 2025.
One hit-and-run suspect has been apprehended, while two remain at large, as the LAPD continues its investigation into the shooting and related events.
