Overview
- GamesRadar+ and other guides highlight four main releases available in the US and UK over the Nov. 6–8 weekend: Black Doves season 2 (Netflix), Stick season 2 (Apple TV), The Institute season 2 (MGM+), and the Liam Neeson film The Mongoose (MGM+/Samuel Goldwyn Films).
- Black Doves season 2 arrives on Netflix with Keira Knightley and Ben Whishaw returning and several high-profile additions — Ambika Mod, Babou Ceesay, Sam Riley, Neve Campbell and Sylvia Hoeks — as the spy duo investigate the disappearance of Helen’s handler.
- Stick season 2 on Apple TV continues Owen Wilson’s golf comedy, following washed-up pro Pryce Cahill and his 18-year-old student Santi Wheeler as Cahill pursues an unlikely comeback and Santi weighs turning pro.
- The Institute season 2 on MGM+ breaks from its source material by extending the story past Stephen King’s novel, continuing the arc of telekinetic Luke with returning cast including Ben Barnes and Mary-Louise Parker.
- The Mongoose, a new Liam Neeson action movie on MGM+, sends Neeson’s character on a cross-country chase after a fatal confrontation and serves as an example of streamers relying on familiar stars and genre hooks to drive weekend viewing.
