• Minneapolis police said Adam John Peterson, 46, died Saturday from wounds in the Sept. 15 Lake Street shooting, the second death tied to two mass incidents that also killed Jacinda Oakgrove, with about 30 casings recovered and multiple gunmen suspected.
• Chicago saw several overnight cases, including a concealed-carry holder fatally shooting an alleged intruder on the West Side, a West Loop confrontation that left a 38-year-old man dead with a 28-year-old detained, and a Southeast Side crash where a 20-year-old man was found shot to death and a woman was wounded.
