- City and village listings in Groningen span one-off markets this weekend and the city’s Winterstad on the Grote Markt, open daily 10:00–00:00 through Sunday 4 January, with paid entries noted at the Swedish market on the Suikerfabriek site (€9) and the decorated Fraeylemaborg (€9).
- Drenthe’s Saturday program features the first Dutch Championship Saté Darten in Diever (18:00–21:00), carbiddarten in Tiendeveen from 11:30, a winter beers festival in Hoogeveen (16:30–21:30), the Gieterveense Winterspelen from 15:30 and Meppel’s Toetjes on Tour from 13:15.
