Wearable AI Device Aims to Replace Smartphones

Humane, a startup founded by former Apple executives, announced its first product called the Ai Pin, an AI-powered wearable device set to launch later this year.
The Ai Pin has a camera and projector and is designed to reduce dependence on smartphones by providing contextually-aware information to the wearer.
Humane partnered with Qualcomm Technologies to use its chipsets tailored for AI applications in the Ai Pin.
A demo of the Ai Pin shows capabilities like voice-controlled calls, calendar updates, providing information on food allergies, and real-time speech translation.
However, there are still open questions about how the Ai Pin will work in practice, privacy concerns, and how much it will cost.
