Overview
- Results for the September 7 SLST written exam across 11 subjects are live on the WBSSC website and via a helpline for candidates to check.
- Roughly 2.93 lakh candidates appeared out of about 3.20 lakh registered for the Class 9–10 category.
- Shortlisting will follow a 1:6 ratio based on written scores, academics and experience, with the Class 9–10 interview list expected in the first week of December.
- Verification for Class 9–10 shortlisted candidates will begin after the Class 11–12 verification round concludes, while Class 11–12 verification runs through December 4.
- On the day results were released, large protests in Kolkata pressed for scrapping the 10 experience marks, public OMR disclosure and more posts, with the experience policy also challenged in the Supreme Court and Calcutta High Court.
