Overview

  • WBJEEB published the final answer key and opened downloadable rank cards on wbjeeb.nic.in and wbjeeb.in after the apex court stayed a Calcutta High Court order.
  • The stayed order had directed a fresh merit list using a pre‑2010 roster of 66 OBC communities with a 7% quota, which a division bench had earlier declined to alter.
  • Ahead of release, the board collected SC, ST and OBC certificates through a portal active August 18–21 to align records with court directions.
  • Aniruddha Chakrabarti topped the exam, with Samyajyoti Biswas second and Dishaanth Basu third, as the merit list was made public.
  • WBJEEB said 101,643 candidates took the test and 100,502 qualified, with counselling and seat allocation to follow.
