Overview
- The Ojai, unveiled at CES 2026, is manufactured by Zeekr in China and shipped to the United States for Waymo to install its sixth-generation autonomous system in Arizona.
- Waymo’s latest hardware includes 13 cameras, six radars and four LiDARs with heaters, wipers and fluid sprayers to keep sensors clear in harsh weather.
- Waymo says the Ojai will be deployed across its markets with public rides targeted for later this year, and employees with family and friends can already hail the van in San Francisco and Phoenix.
- The company plans to scale into more than 20 additional cities this year beyond its current five, positioning the Ojai as a core vehicle for growth.
- Waymo will add Hyundai Ioniq 5 robotaxis and continue operating Jaguar I-Pace vehicles, with roughly 1,000 more I-Paces on order as the fleet transitions toward Hyundai and Zeekr models.
