Waymo Launches $3 Credit Program to Boost Bay Area Public Transit Use

Waymo is offering a $3 credit to riders who use its autonomous vehicles to travel to or from specific transit stations in San Francisco and the Peninsula.
The program started on October 17 and will run until November 15, with credits usable for future rides through December 31.
Eligible stations include select BART, Muni, and Caltrain stations, such as Glen Park and 4th & King Street.
Waymo's pilot program seeks to promote public transit use and is the first of its kind among U.S. autonomous vehicle operators.
Though transit agencies like BART and Caltrain are aware of the program, they are not official partners, and there is no government funding involved.
