• Waymo has added around 80 square miles of coverage across Los Angeles County and the San Francisco Peninsula, boosting its California footprint to roughly 250 square miles.

• Under current New York state law, all autonomous tests must include a human operator, leading Waymo to lobby for legal changes that would permit fully driverless service.
