Overview
- Way Concessões secured the 30-year concession after the top three offers advanced to a live round with no additional bids, prevailing over Rota do Cerrado (20.36%) and Vinci Highways (20.11%) as Caminhos do Cerrado was cut at 14%.
- The corridor spans 530.6 km across 21 municipalities between Goiás and Minas Gerais, covering BR-153 from Hidrolândia to Itumbiara, BR-153 from Araporã to Fronteira, and BR-262 from Uberaba to Comendador Gomes.
- The reference toll ceiling was R$0.13482 per km and the winning offer commits to roughly R$0.1014 per km, with five toll plazas planned—two in Goiás and three in Minas Gerais.
- More than R$10 billion is slated over the life of the contract, including works such as 42 km of duplications, 4 km of bypasses, 31.8 km of additional lanes, marginal roads and passarelas, with government estimates of about 80,000 jobs.
- The auction is part of a relicitação approved by the TCU for assets once run by Concebra, drew four bidders including foreign groups, and included rules requiring equity contributions above deep discount thresholds, with Way pledging R$421 million.
