Washington WR Germie Bernard Enters Transfer Portal
Move Follows Departure of Head Coach Kalen DeBoer and Other Key Players
- Washington wide receiver Germie Bernard is entering the NCAA transfer portal, following the departure of head coach Kalen DeBoer to Alabama.
- Bernard had 34 receptions for 419 yards and two touchdowns for the Huskies this season, his first in Washington after spending the 2022 season at Michigan State.
- Bernard's decision comes after quarterback Will Rogers re-entered the transfer portal after a brief stint with the Huskies.
- Washington also will be without wide receivers Ja'Lynn Polk and Rome Odunze and running back Dillon Johnson, who all declared for the NFL Draft.
- Former Arizona coach Jedd Fisch has been hired to replace DeBoer as the Huskies' head coach.
