Washington Post Announces 2023 Fall All-Met Teams

Emerson Sellman, Riley DeMartino, and Kylie Corcoran Named Players of the Year in Volleyball, Girls' Soccer, and Field Hockey Respectively

• Emerson Sellman, a senior at Holy Cross, was named Player of the Year for volleyball, leading her team to a 29-0 record and their first Washington Catholic Athletic Conference title since 2017.
• Riley DeMartino, a senior at Whitman, was named Player of the Year for girls' soccer, helping her team achieve their first state title three-peat.
• Kylie Corcoran, a senior at Crofton, was named Player of the Year for field hockey, leading her team to a Maryland Class 4A title.
• Coaches of the Year were Gretchen Barber-Strunk for volleyball at Richard Montgomery, Rick Stimpson for girls' soccer at Severna Park, and Jennifer Darrow for field hockey at Independence.
• All three sports saw exceptional performances from both seasoned seniors and promising underclassmen, setting the stage for another competitive season next year.
