Washington Man Charged with Murder, Kidnapping of Missing Couple

Authorities believe Karen Koep and her husband Davido did not survive an attack at their residence, with suspect Timothy Burke now in custody.

Timothy Burke, a 40-year-old man from Olympia, Washington, has been arrested and charged with first-degree murder and kidnapping in connection with the disappearance of Karen Koep and her husband, Davido.
The couple, who had been missing since Monday, are now believed to be dead following an attack at their residence.
Burke reportedly knew the couple for several years and lived in a boarding house owned by them.
Authorities found the couple's missing car, a 2015 Toyota Yaris, about five miles from Koep's place of work.
Koep's sister, Pauline D. Dutton, suggested that Davido's past criminal record and his habit of giving people second chances may have played a role in the couple's disappearance.
