Rafał Trzaskowski, the mayor of Warsaw, won the Civic Coalition's primary with nearly 75% of the vote, defeating Foreign Minister Radek Sikorski.
The Civic Coalition, led by Prime Minister Donald Tusk, seeks to regain control of the presidency to advance its legislative agenda, which has been blocked by President Andrzej Duda's veto power.
Trzaskowski previously ran for president in 2020, narrowly losing to Duda, who is constitutionally barred from seeking a third term in 2025.
