Warriors Sign Seth Curry to Exhibit 9 Deal Ahead of Cap-Timed Re-Signing

Golden State officially announced Seth Curry’s signing, with multiple outlets reporting the Exhibit 9 deal is expected to lead to a preseason waiver and a re-signing after Nov. 15.
The timing aligns with the Warriors’ second-apron constraints after resolving Jonathan Kuminga’s contract and using the taxpayer midlevel on Al Horford.
Curry, 35, shot a league-best 45.6% from three last season for Charlotte, averaging 6.5 points in 68 games over 15.6 minutes per game.
Head coach Steve Kerr said Melton, recovering from a torn ACL, will be re-evaluated in about a month as the team opens the season without him.
Early backcourt minutes are expected to funnel to Stephen Curry, Buddy Hield, Brandin Podziemski, Moses Moody and Gary Payton II, with Seth Curry positioned to return once cap flexibility increases.
