Warriors Promote Mike Dunleavy Jr. to General Manager

Mike Dunleavy Jr. is the new general manager of the Golden State Warriors.
He has been with the Warriors organization since 2018, beginning as a pro scout and working his way up to assistant GM and VP of basketball operations.
Dunleavy replaces Bob Myers, who stepped down as president of basketball operations and GM in May after helping the Warriors win four NBA titles.
Dunleavy has major roster decisions to make this offseason, including handling numerous player contracts and improving a team looking to return to championship contention.
Warriors owner Joe Lacob believes Dunleavy is ready for the challenges of the GM role.
