Overview
- The Warriors cleared Stephen Curry, Brandin Podziemski, Draymond Green and Al Horford to be available for the trip to Denver, giving coach Steve Kerr more veteran options for Monday's game.
- Gui Santos is listed as questionable with left knee tendinitis and Charles Bassey and Brandon Williams are probable, leaving depth at forward and center still limited with Kristaps Porziņģis out indefinitely.
- The Nuggets listed Cam Johnson as doubtful with a right ankle sprain and also have Alpha Diallo doubtful plus Spencer Jones and Julian Strawther ruled out, creating pressure on Denver's wing rotation.
- Denver showed it can adapt without Johnson when Trevon Brazile scored 17 points and grabbed nine rebounds in a recent overtime win, which increases the chance younger bench players will see meaningful minutes.
- Monday's matchup at Ball Arena on Oct. 26 will hinge on how Golden State uses Horford, Bassey or Graham Ike against Nikola Jokić and how each coach manages limited depth late in the first week of the season.
