Warner Bros. has uploaded 33 movies to its YouTube channels since January 2025, making them free to stream with ads or ad-free for YouTube Premium subscribers.
The selection includes a range of films, from critically acclaimed classics like 'The Mission' and 'Mutiny on the Bounty' to notorious flops like Eddie Murphy's 'The Adventures of Pluto Nash.'
Popular titles like Jackie Chan's 'Mr. Nice Guy' have already garnered significant viewership, with over 16 million views since being added.
None of the free movies are currently available on Warner Bros.'s streaming platform, Max, raising questions about the studio's strategy for monetizing its back catalog.
This move follows Warner Bros. Discovery's history of cost-cutting and experimentation with alternative content distribution methods under CEO David Zaslav.
