Warner Bros. Discovery Details Global 25th‑Anniversary Plan for ‘Harry Potter,’ Sets Late‑Summer Theatrical Re‑Release

  • The first film returns to cinemas worldwide Aug. 27–Sept. 3, 2026 with about 10 minutes of behind‑the‑scenes footage not previously shown in theaters.
  • During that window, select venues will also host engagements of all eight franchise films, with specific local schedules to be announced.
  • Fan activations include Butterbeer Season in March–May, Harry Potter’s birthday events on July 31, and the Back to Hogwarts campaign in late summer.
  • Cosm Shared Reality presentations begin this spring in Los Angeles and Dallas with tickets on sale March 4, with Atlanta and Detroit locations set to open later in 2026.
  • Special features are planned at Warner Bros. Studio Tour London from May 7 to Sept. 7 and in Tokyo, Universal theme parks will offer limited‑time offerings, and a new 25th‑anniversary product slate spans LEGO, MinaLima, Loungefly, Crocs, Timex and other partners.
