  • Eligible households will receive a £150 Warm Home Discount as a credit on electricity accounts between November 2025 and March 2026, with a published list of participating suppliers and Ofgem assigning a new provider if a firm exits.
  • Pensioners in England and Wales born before 22 September 1959 will get Winter Fuel Payments of £200 or £300 in November or December, with HMRC recovering sums from individuals above the £35,000 income threshold unless they opted out by 15 September.
  • Scotland will pay a Pension Age Winter Heating Payment of £203.40 to £305.10 from November and a separate £59.75 Winter Heating Payment from mid‑December, with an online opt‑out for higher‑income pensioners open until 10 October.
  • Cold Weather Payments of £25 per seven‑day freezing spell run from 1 November to 31 March for eligible households outside Scotland, where a single £59.75 Winter Heating Payment replaces that scheme between December and February.
  • The DWP will issue a £10 Christmas bonus in the first full week of December, and benefits due on Christmas Day or Boxing Day will be paid on 24 December, with New Year’s Day payments brought forward to 31 December.
