Wargaming's Mech Shooter 'Steel Hunters' Enters Early Access April 2

The free-to-play game combines Battle Royale and Extraction mechanics, offering players a chance to shape its development through feedback.

Steel Hunters, a sci-fi mech hero shooter from the creators of World of Tanks, will launch in Early Access on April 2, 2025, for PC via Steam and Wargaming Game Center.
The game blends Battle Royale and Extraction gameplay, where five teams of two compete to collect the resource Starfall or eliminate rivals on Earth’s abandoned landscapes.
Players can choose from seven unique Hunters, each with distinct abilities and playstyles, including Razorside, Heartbreaker, Fenris, Ursus, Trenchwalker, Prophet, and Weaver.
Three maps—Crimson Ridge, Maryland Heights, and Stonecutter Keep—will be available at launch, featuring dynamic PvPvE battles and strategic objectives.
Wargaming emphasizes a player-first philosophy, using community feedback during Early Access to refine gameplay before the full release.
