Walt Disney World Extends Park Hours for Thanksgiving Week
The targeted schedule change lengthens operating windows at three parks to help spread heavy holiday crowds and adjusts Early Entry times for eligible resort guests.
Overview
- Walt Disney World updated its operating calendar on Friday, Nov. 6, 2026, to extend park hours for the week of Nov. 22–28, 2026 so guests have more time for attractions and dining during a busy travel period.
- Magic Kingdom saw the largest change with earlier openings and multiple 11 p.m. closes, including an expanded 8:00 a.m.–11:00 p.m. schedule on Thanksgiving Day and Early Entry opportunities starting as early as 7:30 a.m.
- Disney’s Animal Kingdom added later evening closes on Nov. 22 and Nov. 24, lengthening several park days and preserving its morning Early Entry window for eligible guests.
- Disney’s Hollywood Studios will open 30 minutes earlier on Nov. 23–24 with matching Early Entry shifts, while EPCOT’s published hours for Thanksgiving week remain unchanged.
- Guests should confirm times, reservations, and Park Hopper plans in the My Disney Experience app because Disney frequently posts provisional hours and may update the calendar again; full operating calendars through Jan. 16, 2027 are available from official schedule sources.
