Walmart Recalls Over 12,000 Cartons of Great Value Chicken Broth Due to Packaging Issues

The recall affects nine states and was initiated after concerns about compromised sterility that could lead to spoilage.

The recall involves Great Value Family Size Chicken Broth in 48-ounce cartons with a 'Best by March 25, 2026' label.
Packaging failures were identified as a risk to the sterility of the product, potentially causing spoilage and food safety concerns.
The affected products were distributed to 242 Walmart stores across nine states, including Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Louisiana, Missouri, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Tennessee, and Texas.
Walmart has advised customers to discard the product and is offering full refunds for those impacted.
No illnesses have been reported, and Walmart is working with the supplier, TreeHouse Foods, to investigate the issue.
