• Federal agencies have traced 26 Salmonella cases and nine hospitalizations across 15 states to cucumbers produced by Bedner Growers Inc.
• Walmart is voluntarily recalling Marketside Fresh Cut Cucumber Slices (UPC 62969) with date codes up to May 24, 2025, sold in Texas stores from May 13 to May 20.
• The Walmart product has not been tied to any illnesses despite the larger outbreak.
• Earlier recalls pulled fresh-cut cucumber and sushi items labeled SNOWFRUIT and SNOWFOX from Kroger, Roundy’s and Weis Market locations in over a dozen states.
• Officials advise consumers to discard or return any recalled cucumbers and to clean and sanitize surfaces that may have contacted them.
