Overview

  • The recall applies to Ozark Trail 64 oz Stainless Steel Insulated Water Bottles, model number 83-662, imported by Olympia Tools International and sold exclusively by Walmart since 2017.
  • Pressure from stored food, carbonated drinks or perishable beverages can cause the black screw-on lid to eject forcefully, posing serious impact and laceration hazards.
  • Walmart has removed the recalled bottles from its stores and is urging owners to stop using them immediately.
  • Consumers can return the bottles to any Walmart store or contact customer service for a full refund under CPSC recall number 37-377.
  • The CPSC is overseeing the recall process and will continue tracking any additional incidents as part of its consumer protection efforts.
