Overview

  • Expansion adds service to more than 100 Walmart stores in Atlanta, Charlotte, Houston, Orlando and Tampa, extending beyond existing operations in Dallas-Fort Worth and Northwest Arkansas.
  • Under FAA beyond-visual-line-of-sight approval, Wing’s drones fly within a six-mile radius and carry up to five pounds of items per trip.
  • Since its 2021 debut, Walmart and Wing have completed over 150,000 deliveries, maintaining an average fulfillment time of 19 minutes.
  • Qualifying groceries, health and household goods can be ordered through Wing’s app, with Walmart testing in-app drone delivery for Walmart+ members in Dallas.
  • The planned rollout over the next 12 months supports Walmart’s push to redefine retail convenience and assess drone delivery’s long-term viability.
