Overview
- Walmart announced on Thursday that it has partnered with Inspire Brands to offer Dunkin' orders through the Walmart app, starting at the 150 Dunkin' locations inside Walmart stores.
- Eligible customers will see Dunkin' appear in the app's Restaurants tab based on their delivery address and can browse, customize, and pay for orders within the same checkout used for Walmart purchases.
- Walmart says the initial in-store rollout will expand in phases to include most of Dunkin's roughly 10,000 U.S. locations, but the companies have not given firm national launch dates.
- The program uses Walmart's large store footprint and the Spark gig delivery network to deliver restaurant items alongside groceries, a setup Walmart says will help raise order frequency and customer engagement.
- This move builds on Walmart's June Subway pilot and signals the company's push to challenge third-party delivery platforms by turning its app and logistics into a broader restaurant-delivery marketplace.
